Donut balls:
We all love sweets and Donuts are like the best sweet ever at
least for me. In this period of lock down most of us are out of supplies that
are required for cooking special foods. So, today I have came up with a
extremely easy recipe of donuts which is prepared without eggs and without
yeast. Sounds interesting, right? And the best part is that even these
donuts can be made in the total time of just one hour. I have already shared
with all you the recipe of Donuts made using yeast but today let’s try
different. Also some people find it difficult to shape the donuts, so we are
going to keep it simple and make them in the shape of balls. They are also
called donut holes.
These donut taste exactly the same as our
regular donuts and have the same moist, soft, fluffy texture. They just melt in
our mouth and give us the best food experience. So let’s not wait further and
begin with our lovely recipe…!!
Ingredients:
- · 1 cup maida ( all purpose flour)
- · 5 tsp Sugar
- · ¾ tsp baking powder
- · ½ tsp baking soda
- · 2 tsp ghee or butter
- · 1 tsp Milk powder
- · 2 tsp Vinegar or Lemon juice
- · 4 tsp milk
- · Salt as per taste
- · Oil for frying
For
Decoration or glazing donuts:
- · Chocolate syrup or Chocolate ganache
Method:
- · In a bowl take 1 cup of maida, baking powder, baking soda,salt(as per taste) and powdered sugar as per the measures given above. Also we add a secret ingredient which is milk powder it helps to make donuts soft and tasty.
- · Now mix all these ingredients together and add 3 tsp of milk. Now add 2 tsp vinegar or lemon juice to it. Make sure that the milk is not hot because if the milk is hot it will lead to curdling of milk.
- · We need to make a soft dough out of the ingredients. So knead it for at least 7-8 minutes. Add in 2 tsp ghee or butter to make a soft dough. If the dough is too hard add some more milk.
- · Once the dough is ready let it rest for at least 20 minutes. Cover the dough with a moist cloth before keeping it for resting otherwise the dough may become dry and a bit hard.
- · After 20 mins, knead the dough once again for 1-2 minutes and then shape them into small balls.
- · Heat up the oil in the frying pan, make sure that the oil is not too hot and then start frying the donuts. Fry them on a medium flame so that the cook perfectly even from inside. This will help to keep the donuts moist from inside and crunchy from outside.
- · Let them cool for like 2-3 minutes and then lets move towards chocolate decoration part.
Preparing
Chocolate ganache:
- · Here we need any chocolate which is cut into small pieces. We cut them so that it becomes easier for melting the chocolate.
- · We will add this chocolate in a bowl and add some whip cream ( first heat it in a microwave for around 30 seconds) or we can use some hot milk (But using milk may make the ganache thin).
- · Mix the whip cram and the chocolate together until the chocolate melts and blends properly with the cream. You can also add 1 tsp of butter if you want to make the ganache shinier.
- · But if you don’t have chocolate simply make use of any chocolate syrup. I have used chocolate syrup in my recipe because I couldn’t get whip cream and chocolate because of the current lock down situation.
So once our decoration stuff is ready
just coat the donuts with the chocolate and we are done. Isn’t it a very simple recipe. Do comment below and tell

Other
possible glazing for donuts:
- · We can use powder sugar
- · We can use white chocolate ganache which can be prepared in the similar way as chocolate ganache.
- · Vanilla glazed donuts. Now here we need to take 1 cup powder sugar 4 tsp of milk and 2 tsp of vanilla extract. Mix them together and we are ready!!
