Top 6 Summer Beverages you can easily make at home


Every year we face the summer heat and always try multiple ways to beat the heat. During summers we face a lot of dehydration issues, thus we need to drink a lot of water. But our taste buds need to be made happy. Our thirst need to be satisfied by some interesting drinks, right! For that I would like to suggest some top 6 beverages for summer! So let’s start:


1.Watermelon Juice:

This is my personal favourite. Watermelon is also a very popular seasonal fruit and is loved by everyone. Watermelon juice helps to control and reduce the body heat and keeps us energized throughout the day. The process of making this amazing juice is very simple:
  • ·        Take ½ watermelon and remove its thick covering or skin. Also removes the seeds as many possible.
  • ·        Grind it in mixer grinder or use juicer. If you use juicer no need to strain it.
  • ·        If you use mixer, do strain the juice properly.
  • ·        And our tasty refreshing watermelon juice is all set to beat the heat!

2.Aam Panna:

It is summer and we don’t talk about mangoes? Impossible! So, this Aam Panna drink tops the list because it is made with our favourite seasonal fruit and helps a lot to keep our body cool. Recipe for this amazing drink is:
  • ·        Take 2 raw mangoes and boil them until they get pulpy. Then grind it in a mixer.
  • ·        Add 1 cup of jagery to it. Mix it till it mixes well.
  • ·        Add cardamom and kesar to it.
  • ·        And our Aam Panna concentrate is ready. Whenever you want to feel refreshed add some Aam Panna concentrate to water and enjoy!

3.Lemonade:

This is almost everyone’s all time favourite. We just love lemonades. They help us to stay hydrated and also energizes us for the day. I love it usually with some mint in it along with our regular lemons. Preparing this most favourite drink is very easy. The recipe is:
  • ·        Take 2 glass of water and 1 big size lemon.
  • ·        Add the lemon juice to the water and start boiling the water.
  • ·        Then add some chopped mint leaves to the water.
  • ·        Also add 4 tsp sugar and pinch of salt to it.
  • ·        For giving it a proper yellow colour, shred the lemon skin and add it to the boiling juice.
  • After 5-6 minutes, turn off the flame and strain the juice. Refrigerate it for 1-2 hours and enjoy this all time favourite drink.
  • For giving it a more interesting taste you can also add some chaat masala and jeera powder to it.

4.Lassi:

It is perfect Indian beverage popular throughout India. It is a beverage made using dahi or curd. It is quite healthy and tasty refreshing drink. Its is believed that the origin of lassi is from Punjab but along with the time, it gained popularity through out the country and even outside the country. Preparing this drink is very simple:
  • ·        We take 1 cup of curd.
  • ·        Add 2 tsp of sugar to it and then blend the mixture.
  • ·        We can add some water to it to reduce the density of the drink.
  • ·        And finally our amazing drink is ready to serve!

5.Cold coffee:

Now we all love coffee very much. But usually in the summers we crave for cold coffee. Cold coffee is just amazing…Now I prepare cold coffee in a different way but believe me, the taste is actually amazing. It tastes proper keventers style cold coffee! So let’s start with the recipe:
  • ·        Take 1 tsp coffee, 2 tsp sugar in a glass
  • ·        Add 1 tsp coco powder and 1 tsp of hershey’s choclate syrup
  • ·        Hershey’s syrup is optional, if you skip it add one more tsp of sugar
  • ·        Add 1 glass milk and then add 2-3 ice cubes in it.
  • ·        Blend the mixture well and there it is…. Our amazing cold coffee is all ready to drink!!

6.Soda Jaljeera:

Many people like to have jaljeera or soda. They together form an amazing combination. It helps satisfy our thirst and refresh our body. I usually follow a very simple recipe for jailjeera. It is just two steps!
  • ·        Take any soda drink like sprite, limca etc.
  • ·        Add jaljeera powder to it and enjoy!!
  • ·        It is the most easiest and simplest way to prepare jaljeera.
